About Business Law Review

The NLS Business Law Review is the leading publication on business laws in India run by the students of the National Law School of India University.The NLSBLR has featured scholarship by a wide range of leading academics, practitioners, and luminaries, such as Justice V. Ramasubramanian (Supreme Court of India), Phillip R. Wood (QC, Allen and Overy LLP), Prof. James J. Nedumpara (Jindal Global Law School), Rajat Sethi (Founding and Managing Partner, S&R Associates), Prof. Régis Bismuth (Sciences Po) and Prof. Anurag K. Agarwal (IIM Ahmedabad).

Submission Guidelines

Submissions must fall within the mandate of the journal which can be found here.

The NLSBLR Blog invites contributions in the following categories –

1.   Responses to articles in the print journal or previous articles published in the NLSBLR

2.   Comments on contemporary legal developments

3.   Articles on topics of with respect to ease of doing business in India

4.   Book reviews engaging with recent literary works.

Please note that this is an inclusive list and other pieces can be published as long as they fall within mandate specified above.

They attempt to review and process articles within 3 weeks of submission. Please follow up , if you have not heard from them within 3 weeks.

Submission details

Articles for the blog must be between 1,000-2,500 words and the relevant citations must be hyperlinked. All contributions must be made in a .doc or .docx format. The contributions must necessarily be accompanied with a subtitle and the author’s by line of not more than 50 words. Please fill the form available here to submit the manuscript. Submissions by NLSIU students must be made in an electronic form to:

Submission Procedure

They accept contributions to the BLR Blog on a rolling basis. BLR strives to ensure a speedy and efficient review process. They follow a system of two rounds of review by the Editorial Board for publication in the BLR Blog. Authors should be prepared to make suitable changes to their articles as required by the Editorial Board before publication.

Conditions of Publication

Please note that submissions not conforming to these guidelines may be returned or rejected. While they strive to provide substantive feedback for every submission we receive, it may not always be possible to do so, given the large number of submissions. They reserve the right to reject submissions without providing substantive feedback.
