He graduated from Madras Law College in 1980 and was designated as a Senior Advocate of the Madras High Court in 2000. 

Advocate Arvind Datar is an expert in the fields of Constitutional Law, Taxation Laws and Arbitration.

Presently, Mr. Datar is a Trustee at Palkhivala Foundation, Director at Nani Palkhivala Arbitration Centre and Vice President of Bar Association of India
