About the Vacancy
As a junior intellectual property associate with the firm, you would be responsible for providing legal services related to the protection, management, and enforcement of intellectual property rights. This role involves a combination of legal analysis, strategic planning, and client interaction.
Responsibilities
- Management of entire Intellectual Property portfolio of clients;
- Handling and managing prosecution, opposition and enforcements relating to IP (specifically trademarks, copyrights and industrial designs);
- Drafting and filing of trademark, copyright, designs and patents applications;
- Drafting, filing and prosecution amendments, oppositions, rectifications, etc. before the concerned authorities;
- Maintaining record book for due dates, performing trademark searches;
- Appearance before the Registrar / Examiners for hearing;
- Drafting of pleadings, evidence, arguments, etc. in IP Litigation matters;
- Drafting of legal opinions for the clients after conducting in-depth research in the relevant database(s) relating to various IP related queries;
- Drafting, vetting, reviewing and negotiation of IP specific agreements;
- Manage and organize legal documents, correspondence, and files efficiently;
- Assist with the preparation of legal documents, contracts, and agreements;
- Maintain accurate records and databases;
- Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including emails, phone calls, and faxes.
Work Experience and Skills required
- Bachelors / Masters in law;
- Experience of end-to-end handling of Intellectual Property matters (preferred);
- In-depth knowledge of trademark, copyright, patent and design laws (preferred);
- Experience of international filings is a plus;
- Proficient research skills and IT skills;
- Knowledge of legal research tools;
- Proficient drafting skills
Remuneration
As per industry standards (negotiable for the deserving candidate).
