Centre for Law and Policy Research (CLPR) is an organisation which aims to maintain and promote legal education and public policy research and litigation. CLPR collaborates with organizations, institutions and programmers to promote legal research and cause related litigation.
About the Vacancy
Centre for Law and Policy Research is hiring associates.
Eligibility
- Ability to work independently, translating research requirements into action plans, and following projects through from initiation to completion.
- Strong interpersonal skills for networking and conducting primary research across various entities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Capacity to handle multiple projects concurrently, even under tight deadlines.
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals are viewed positively.
- Demonstrable evidence of strong written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional analytical, writing, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in time management.
- A degree in Law; or a postgraduate degree is preferred.
- Prior legal research experience around the rights of one or more of the following communities: Dalit and Adivasis, Transgender persons, Persons with Disabilities, and Women and Girls
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Strong passion for rights-based research and advocacy, and a commitment to social justice work.
Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day operations of research projects.
- Overseeing the collection and analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data.
- Summarizing and interpreting research findings for various publications, including reports, papers, and blog posts.
- Reviewing and abstracting published research.
- Organizing consultations, and meetings and handling all related administrative work.
The Research Associate will be responsible for compiling, organizing, and analyzing legal materials, encompassing, but not limited to, High Court and Supreme Court decisions, pertaining to the rights of one or more of the following groups:
- Dalit and Adivasis
- Transgender Persons
- Persons with Disabilities
- Women and Girls
Location
This is a full time opportunity based out of Bangalore.
