About Adv. Athenam Velan:
He is a lawyer currently practising in the Supreme Court of India and other forums in Delhi from 2017 to till date. He has practiced extensively in different branches of law at the Madras High Court from 2012 till 2017. In the said period more than 20 judgements, where he has been the lead counsel have been reported in leading law journals. Most notably he was appointed as an Amicus Curie by the Hon’ble Madras High Court along with the Additional Solicitor General in the case of A.V. Bellarmin v. Mr. V. Santhanakumaran Nair, SI Railway Protection Force 2015-4-LW443.
Prior to becoming lawyer, he graduated from National Law University, Punjab ( RGNUL) in the year 2012 wherein he had participated extensively in various moot courts and debate competitions.

Requirements:
4th and 5th Year Law Students (Prior experience with Legal Research and Drafting is encouraged)
About the Internship:
Primarily the work will be concentrated in the Supreme Court of India, with a few appearances in the High Court of Delhi and other forums, and the job will entail research, drafting and appearances (procedural and otherwise).
