About CCCL

Centre for Corporate and Competition Law (CCCL) is a Centre of Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad provides a social and academic platform to Students interested in participating or learning about Corporate Law. The mission of CCCL is to promote quality corporate understanding and study Competition Law in relation to it.

The Centre has also invited legal professionals from the corporate world to interact with the students of SLS, Hyderabad. To advance our agenda, CCCL has successfully conducted multiple landmark events in the history of our institute, which has carved a niche corner for our center within the legal fraternity. Amongst others, CCCL conducted our flagship event, the first-ever National Corporate Restructuring Competition in India, in 2019, and the second edition in 2022. We have also spread our roots in banking law by conducting a three-day value-added course on the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code.

About the Event

The national seminar, in collaboration with the Competition Commission of India (CCI), on “Competition Regulation in New Age Markets: Issues and Challenges” aims to offer a valuable learning experience for professionals in corporate and competition law, aligning with CCI’s vision, of fostering fair and innovative business practices. The day starts with an inaugural ceremony,

This will be followed by a Panel Discussion where panelists engage in insightful debates, helping the audience understand various aspects of corporate and competition law. This discussion aims to spark valuable conversations about how competition law shapes our economy. Technical sessions follow, allowing participants and panelists to present papers and engage in discussions. Exceptional research papers will be recognized via a blind review process, with the distinguished ones earning the title of “Best Presentation” based on their original and innovative content, as evaluated by the panelists. The event concludes with a valedictory ceremony after three productive sessions.

Open to students who are:

  • Pursuing an integrated 5-year LL.B. program in India; or
  • Pursuing a 3-year LL.B. program in India
  • Pursuing an LLM or equivalent program in India
  • Pursuing a course in Management Studies or any adjacent field.
