Call for Papers: National Conference on Replacement of 3 Criminal Laws by Amity Law School, MP | Submit by 20th Feb. 2024

Amity Law School ALS, Amity University Madhya Pradesh (AUMP), is organizing  National Conference on Replacement of the three Criminal Laws of the British era by Bhartiya Laws will Lead To Decolonisation and Ushering Reforms: In-depth analysis in online mode on 21 and 22 March 2024, and is accepting registrations for the same. 

About the University 

Amity University Madhya Pradesh is established by the Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF), New Delhi which is a Society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and was established with the view to promote professional and industry-oriented education in the State of Madhya Pradesh. 

The Amity Law School (ALS) in AUMP was established in 2013. The main focus of ALS is to promote high quality research and develop professionals in legal education and legal profession. Development of cutting-edge skills, imparting high quality education and conducting research in the emerging trends in legal education and legal profession are the main features of the school.The Amity Law School ALS seeks to conduct the National Conference on Replacement of the three Criminal Laws of the British era by Bhartiya Laws will Lead To Decolonisation and Ushering Reforms: In- depth analysis 21 and 22 March 2024. 

Objectives of the Conference

The conference will address a broad range of legal reforms focussing on decolonization and creating a balance between preserving justice and addressing the needs of the society. It will have comprehensive deliberations about rectifying the aspects of colonial-era laws that were not in sync with the ethos and diversity of Indian society. The Conference aims to focus on the reforms navigating towards a new legal framework securing robust and contemporary standards of justice. 

Sub-themes of the Conference

Analyze historical context, motivations, and factors driving the revisions. Explore impact on legal scholarship, jurisprudence, and academic resources. Analyze how reforms reroute criminal jurisprudence, social progress, and trends. Examine hurdles and benefits of adapting revamped criminal laws. Evaluate the effectiveness of the revised criminal justice. Align new laws with contemporary principles and ethical standards. Emphasize public awareness and education campaigns on legal changes. Significant implications of introducing changes in the fundamental legal frameworks,and all the related topics are accepted.

Eligibility

Students with undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral qualifications, academicians and scholars, practitioners, consultants, researchers, and policymakers from different backgrounds across the world are eligible to participate in the Conference.

Important Dates

  • Abstract Submission – 20 February 2024
  • Notification of selected abstracts – 22 February 2024
  • Submission of full paper – 15 March 2024
  • Last Date of Registration – 20 March 2024
  • Date of Conference – 21 and 22 March 2024

Guidelines for submission

  • Submit the Abstract of 200-230 words along with keywords to [email protected] on or before the last date of submission. 
  • The word limit of full paper must not exceed 3000 words excluding abstract. 
  • The permitted plagiarism is 20 % for the full papers and shall be written in Times New Roman with Font size 12 and 1.5 space between the lines. 
  • The manuscript should also be checked thoroughly for grammatical or typographical errors before submission.
  • Footnotes must be cited according to the ILI pattern. 
  • The manuscript should accompany a separate cover page to provide the title of the paper, Author’s Name, Designation, Address and Contact Details, including E-mail ID. 
  • The limitation to the number of co-authors on a paper is two.
  • After peer review process, selected papers will be published in the Reputed Journal/ Book Chapter with ISBN publication. Paper Presentation will be permitted on the submission of Full Paper.
