A science background gives an advantage though not mandatory. If the candidates know the law, they will teach the science.
Degree/Pedigree is irrelevant. Age, gender, caste, faith, colour, etc. are irrelevant. Political/religious beliefs are irrelevant. A keen thinking mind, aptitude for learning, willingness to stick one’s neck out and suggest creative solutions is mandatory.
