Roles and responsibilities include
- Leading the team in conducting legal due diligence and preparing of the DD report
- Ability to share the first draft of the transaction documents such as BTA, SSA, SPA, SHA, term sheet
- Sound knowledge of corporate laws
- Ability to communicate effectively with the client
- Must have experience of working in unlisted/listed transactions (domestic/cross-border) (experience in listed space is also welcome such as open offers, fund raising, etc.)
- Ability to research to develop theoretical understanding of the laws and acts and drafting of general corporate (opinions and advisories)
- Knowledge of case laws with relevant legal framework, good understanding of regulatory updates , approvals, opinions, and basic understanding of its impact on clients
- Ability to acquire knowledge on current market trends and understand its future implication and impact on client
- Ability to create and disseminate updates on latest trends to the team
- Attention to detail w.r.t. contract drafting skills, replies etc (most critical)
