ABOUT THE WEBINAR
Under the mandate of Competition Advocacy enshrined under Section 49 of the Competition Act, 2002 (hereinafter, Act), the Competition Commission of India (hereinafter, CCI/Commission) has been taking various steps to empower the stakeholders such as Industry, Academia, Central & State Governments, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Trade Associations etc.Academia constitutes a group of important stakeholders where students hold the key for future. In order to reach out to Academia, the Commission has been conducting and organizing a wide array of activities such as seminars, conferences, workshops, interactive sessions, moot court competitions, internships, road shows, competitions assessments of legislations, essay competitions, publications of comprehensive advocacy material on various aspects of competition law etc.As the nation is celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Commission on this pious occasion is organizing a National Webinar on Competition Law for Students which will be free of cost and certificate will be issued to the participants. This will broaden the horizon of students with regard to understanding of Competition Law. The unique feature of this webinar would be that faculties are experienced Officers of the Commission who will mix their experiences with theory to give a working overview of Competition Law.
