The Center for Excellence in Gender Studies, ICFAI Law School, Hyderabad:
The Center for Excellence in Gender Studies at ICFAI Law School, Hyderabad, is a pioneering initiative committed to fostering a deeper understanding of gender issues and promoting equality across all domains. Under the leadership of its visionary patron, Dr. P. Ravisheararaju, the center is a hub for academic research, policy advocacy, and community engagement aimed at achieving gender justice.
The center organizes seminars, workshops, and competitions to encourage critical discussions on gender and legal issues. By adopting an intersectional and inclusive approach, the center aspires to influence societal change, legislative reforms, and academic discourse on equality and human rights.

Objective of the Webinar
The seminar aims to bring together legal professionals, academicians, students, and policy enthusiasts to engage in meaningful discussions on the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and its potential implications for Indian society.
Primary Objective
- To provide a comprehensive understanding of the concept of UCC.
- To analyze constitutional provisions related to UCC, especially Article 44 of the Indian Constitution.
- To explore the legal challenges, social implications, and obstacles in the implementation of UCC.
- To evaluate whether UCC can harmonize personal laws while protecting India’s diversity.
- To create awareness about ongoing debates surrounding UCC and its societal impact.

Guidelines for Authors
Eligibility
Open to students, research scholars, academicians, professionals, and practitioners in the field of law.
Submission Requirements
- Abstract: 300–500 words with keywords, including the author’s name, designation, and contact details.
- Full Paper: 3000–5000 words (exclusive of footnotes), accompanied by a plagiarism report (less than 10%).
Formatting
- Font: Times New Roman.
- Font Size: 12 pt (main text), 10 pt (footnotes).
- Spacing: 1.5 (main text), single (footnotes).
- Margins: 1 inch on all sides.
- Citation Style: Bluebook 20th Edition.
Submission Details
Co-authorship: Allowed up to two authors.
Submission Process: Abstracts and full papers should be emailed to:

Publication Opportunity: Selected papers will be published in a book with an ISBN.
Registration Details
Fee Structure
- Academicians/Professionals/Practitioners: ₹1000 per author.
- Students/Research Scholars: ₹800 per author.
Inclusions
Registration fee includes a seminar kit, lunch, and high tea during the event. Accommodation expenses are not included but can be arranged on request.
