About CCLG
The Centre for Corporate Laws and Governance (CCLG) at Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur, is a dedicated initiative of the University aimed at fostering legal dialogue and practical engagement in the fields of corporate laws, Corporate governance, and regulatory compliance under SEBI. The Centre seeks to explore and address the evolving challenges in corporate litigation, financial regulations, SEBI regulations, Companies Act compliance, and corporate dispute resolution. With a commitment to academic excellence and industry relevance, the Centre undertakes multidisciplinary research, policy analysis, and capacity-building initiatives by collaborating with legal academia, industry experts, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders in the corporate sector. About the Event
National Corporate Law Essay Competition 2025 Exploring Governance, Accountability, and Innovation in the Corporate World “Fostering Scholarly Dialogue on Governance, Sustainability, Gender Diversity, Innovation, and Emerging Challenges in Corporate Law.” Corporate law is a dynamic and evolving field that governs the rights, relations, and conduct of businesses, organizations, and regulatory bodies. It intersects with various aspects of governance, finance, compliance, and ethics, making it a crucial area of study in today’s globalized economy. The 1st National Corporate Law Essay Competition, 2025, aims to encourage students to engage in critical legal research and analysis, exploring contemporary corporate law challenges and innovations. This competition offers a platform for students to delve into pressing corporate law issues such as corporate governance, ESG frameworks, financial regulations, sustainability, gender diversity, and the impact of artificial intelligence on corporate compliance. By addressing these themes, participants will contribute to scholarly discourse on the legal and regulatory challenges shaping the corporate world. - Open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in any recognized university.
- Cross-university participation is allowed, which allows students from different institutions to collaborate and engage in meaningful discussions.

Submission Guidelines
- Submissions are to be made in the form of MS Word as well as Pdf Form in the provided google form.
- The essay must be an original, unpublished work of the participants.
- Word limit: 2500-5000 words, including citations
Formatting Guidelines
- Times New Roman, Font Size 12, Line Spacing 1.5, Justified alignment.
- Headings and Sub-headings must be appropriately numbered. Referencing Style: The Bluebook- A Uniform System of Citation (2015, 20th ed.).
- Any submission that is found to be plagiarized beyond 15% shall be disqualified from the competition.
- Use of AI is strictly prohibited.
- Copyright of the submission shall remain with CCLG, DNLU
Prizes
- Winner: Rs 11,000, Internship Opportunity at LKS , Certificate of Merit
- 1st Runner-Up: Rs 7,000, Internship Opportunity at LKS, Certificate of Merit
- 2nd Runner-Up: Rs 5,000, Certificate of Merit
- Certificate of Excellence to top 10 participants Certificate of Participation will be provided to all participants.

- Announcement of Results: 31st July 2025
*Late Submission will result in automatic disqualification of the participant.
