Essential Qualifications
- Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university.
- Age Limit:
- Minimum: 21 years
- Maximum: 35 years (as of 1st January 2025).
- Relaxation:
- SC/ST/OBC candidates of Chhattisgarh: 5 years.
- Women (all categories): 10 years.
- Additional Requirements:
- Enrollment as an advocate under the Advocates Act, 1961.
Note: Candidates must possess all the required qualifications and documents by the last date of application.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of three stages:
- Preliminary Examination
- 100 Objective-type questions to screen candidates for the Main Examination.
- Subjects include the The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, Code of Civil Procedure, The Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, The Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023 and other key legal statutes.
- Main Examination
- Framing of issues and writing of Judgement in Civil Cases
- Framing of charges and writing of Judgement in Criminal Cases
- Translation:- (1) English to Hindi and (2) Hindi to English.
- Viva-Voce (Interview)
- Shortlisted candidates from the Main Examination will appear for the interview.
