About the University

Founded on the vision of Dr. Karsanbhai K. Patel, the Institute of Law, Nirma University (ILNU), established in 2007, focuses on bringing about a paradigm shift in the delivery of legal education in the country. It aims to add newer dimensions to legal education that would incorporate international standards and provide an environment for innovation and dynamic scholarship.

Embodying the principles of justice education, excellence, and professionalism, ILNU imparts quality legal education that has produced a new generation of lawyers, leaders, and policymakers over the years.

About the Conference

The conference is being conducted by the Student Research Council, Institute of Law, Nirma University with a vision to generate awareness amongst the students and academia. To address the contemporary issues and challenges faced by scholars, academicians, practitioners, and students in the field of International Law and Governance.

Acting as a facilitator, the conference is to present a platform for interaction between eminent personalities, zealous students, dedicated organizations, and every such stakeholder having an interest in the field.

Theme

The conference promotes a multidisciplinary approach with four main themes:

  • Global Dynamics in the Realm of Trade, Economics, And Corporate Law
  • Global Environmental Governance and Stakeholder Engagement Global Environmental Governance and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Technology, Media, And IPR: Issues and Challenges Technology, Media, And IPR: Issues and Challenges
  • Constitutional Checks and Balances: Issues and Challenges

Sub-Themes

  • Global Supply Chain Resilience and Risk Management
  • Cross-Border Dispute Resolution and International Law
  • Environmental Justice and Equity Green Finance and Sustainable Investments
  • Digital Governance and Policy Development Ethical and Legal Implications of Artificial Intelligence
  • Constitutional Interpretation Federalism and State Autonomy

Eligibility

Academicians, legal practitioners, research scholars, professionals, policymakers, and students are invited to submit papers relevant to the conference theme and sub-themes.

How to submit the Abstract?

  • The abstract submission must be made using the following form link:

  • Submissions through any other medium shall not be considered for review.
  • The link for the submission of the final paper shall be opened after the selection of abstracts.

Submission Guidelines

  • Only original, unpublished work on the conference is requested. Submissions that include essentially the same work that has previously been published or is under review for publication at another conference or journal will not be accepted.
  • An Abstract of not more than 400 words accompanied by 5-6 keywords has to be submitted by 31st March 2025.
  • The abstract submission must include a title/cover page.
  • The final paper shall be in the range of 4,000 – 7,000 words, exclusive of abstract and footnotes.
  • All submissions should strictly follow the given formatting style: Heading Times New Roman 14 point; Text Font – Times New Roman 12 point; Margin– 1 inch all sides; Line spacing – 1.5 lines, single column.
  • Co-authorship is restricted to two members only.
  • All submitted work must not have a similarity index above 10%.
  • The Citation style shall be OSCOLA 4th edition.
  • The decision of the screening committee regarding the selection of the paper for the Conference shall be final.
  • Upon selection of the abstract, the participants shall register by paying the prescribed registration fee.
  • The mode of payment of the registration fees shall be notified once the abstract is selected.

Registration Fees

The registration fee for the conference is divided as follows:

  • Single Authorship (Student)- INR 1500/- each
  • Co- Authorship (Student)- INR 2500/- per team
  • Research Scholars & Academicians- INR 2500/- each
