Expanding its focus to international law, SLS introduced a chapter of the International Law Students Association (ILSA) in 2022, later evolving it into the International Law Students Activity Club (ILSAC) to foster a more comprehensive understanding of international law. ILSAC has become a vibrant platform for students to engage with the complexities of public and private international law, offering diverse activities that go beyond conventional legal education. It organizes events addressing pressing international legal issues, workshops.
About the Certificate Course
ILSAC organizes three-day online certificate courses that delve into specialized areas of international law, offering participants a focused and in-depth understanding of emerging and critical legal topics. These meticulously curated courses feature lectures and discussions led by renowned experts and practitioners from around the globe.
The Certificate Course on Outer Space Law offers participants an in-depth exploration of the legal frameworks governing human activities in outer space. This specialized course delves into key principles enshrined in international treaties such as the Outer Space Treaty, addressing topics like the peaceful use of outer space, liability for damage caused by space objects, and the responsibility of states in space exploration. Participants will also engage with contemporary issues, including satellite deployment, space debris mitigation, commercial space ventures, and the legal challenges of resource utilization on celestial bodies. Important Dates
Three Day Online Certificate Course on Outer Space Law will be from February 21 to 23, 2025. Registrations are open till February 15, 2025.

The course is open to all individuals with an interest in enhancing their knowledge of outer space law. This includes law students, legal practitioners, academicians, researchers, and professionals from related fields seeking to deepen their understanding of key topics within the discipline.
Course Format
The certificate courses will be conducted in an online format. The specific video conferencing platform to be used for the sessions will be communicated to participants upon registration.
Registration
A registration fee of INR 400 is to be paid at the time of registration, and a screenshot of the same is to be attached to the registration form. Further details of payment will be contained in the registration form.
