The Centre for Advanced Research on Corporate Law (“CARCL”) is dedicated to advancing the study and practice of corporate law. It aims to shape corporate law as a dynamic academic discipline through rigorous research and collaborations with institutions and stakeholders. CARCL provides students and professionals with practical exposure to corporate law issues, conducts multi-disciplinary research, and organizes workshops, seminars, and conferences to foster discussions on emerging corporate law topics. 

About The CARCL Blog

The CARCL Blog is a platform initiated by the Centre for Advanced Research on Corporate Law. It serves as a dynamic hub for disseminating insights and analysis on contemporary issues within corporate law and related fields. Committed to fostering informed discourse, the blog invites contributions that explore emerging conflicts, examine recent case law, discuss legislative developments, and illuminate the evolving legal landscape in the corporate sphere. 

The CARCL Blog aims to cultivate a community dedicated to enhancing knowledge of corporate governance and business law. It seeks to educate, inspire, and engage readers in meaningful conversations about the pressing issues and challenges facing the corporate world today.

Suggested Themes

The CARCL Blog welcomes submissions on a wide range of topics related to corporate law, including trade law, securities law, commercial law, competition law, insolvency law, banking law, technology law, and taxation law. This list is intended as a guide; authors are encouraged to submit articles on other themes that align with the overarching focus of the CARCL Blog.

Submission Guidelines

  • Co-authorship of up to two (2) authors is allowed.
  • Any form of plagiarism will lead to disqualification from publication on our platform.
  • Submissions with a novel analysis of contemporary legal developments are encouraged rather than descriptive ones. 
  • Submissions should refrain from including offensive, abusive, derogatory, or potentially defamatory content.
  • Submissions must range between 1,000 and 1,500 words in length. Longer submissions may be considered for publication in parts at the discretion of the Editorial Board. Authors are encouraged to discuss this possibility with the Board in advance.
  • The title should be in Garamond font, size 14, in Small Caps, underlined, and bold. Headings 2 and 3 should be in Garamond font, size 12, in Small Caps, bold. The body text should be in Garamond font, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing. All text should be justified. 
  • Hyperlinks should be used in the body for all references, including supporting materials and legal texts. In cases without hyperlinks, endnotes can be used in any uniform citation style (Garamond font, size 10, single spacing between all lines).
  • Submissions must be in Microsoft Word format (‘.doc’ or ‘.docx’). The document submitted should be named in the format “author’s name_CARCL Blog”.
  • Adhering to all the formatting guidelines is mandatory.

Submission Procedure

  • All submissions for the CARCL Blog must be uploaded via the Google Form (Click here). Any submissions made through alternative channels will not be taken into consideration.
  • The review process typically takes 1-2 weeks. If authors experience any delays, they are welcome to request updates by contacting us at our official email address: [email protected].

Cross Publication

Posts accepted for publication on the CARCL Blog may be cross-posted, provided the original publication on the CARCL Blog is duly acknowledged.
