Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai, established under the Maharashtra National Law University Act VI of 2014 is one of the premier National Law Universities in India. The Act envisaged establishing National Law University in Maharashtra to impart advanced legal education and promote society-oriented research in legal studies for the advancement of the social life of the people in the country. (Investment and Securities Laws) in association with National Institute of Security Management(NISM), M.A. Mediation and Conflict Resolution for Executives , Ph.D. Program, PG Diplomas and is planning to add more programs from the academic year 2024-26. The Program structure and curriculum of the University are framed by a team of dedicated and committed teachers with guidance from industry experts and academia. Hon’ble Dr. Justice D.Y. Chandrachud, Judge, Supreme Court of India is the Chancellor of th University who not only guides but also inspires the institution with his novel ideas and rich experience in the field of law. Prof. (Dr.) Dilip Ukey, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the University and an eminent scholar in the field of law is guiding and leading the University to achieve newer heights. Dr. Pratapsinh B. Salunke serving as Registrar (I/C) of the University, with his dynamic vision coupled with excellent administrative skills is enabling the university to make newer strides in its journey towards academi excellence.
About the Program
The M.A. (Mediation and Conflict Resolution) is introduced to equip working professionals with an array of skills and expertise in the world of dispute resolution, as conflict is an inevitable element of our life and work. Besides mastering practical skills, and developing academic insights on theory, successful post-graduates will also be recognized as ‘Accredited Mediators’ with MNLU’s Centre for Mediation and Research (CMR). Regardless of one’s professional calling, Mediation can be a significant game changer in dealing with life issues. With the skill sets it promises, the post-graduate Program will bolster participants’ social and professional standings and make them more valuable personnel to the organizations and brands they represent. We have designed a highly professional program structure and syllabus that will touch on almost every aspect of mediation, conflict management, and resolution.

Total number of Seats
The total number of seats are 30. However, the University reserves the right to alter the number of seats for the program in a given academic year without prior notice.

Eligibility
A Degree in any discipline. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in May/June 2024 are also eligible to apply.
Examination Scheme
The evaluation of participants in the program will be continuous. Each paper will be evaluated for 100 marks as under: Internal (50 marks): Class Participation/Presentation/Projects/Roleplays/ Reflections External (50 marks): End Term Examination
Attendance
Participants are expected to be present in all classes. Classes will be held for a limited number of days per month, for limited hours per day, at times that are suitable for the working professional. For each semester, the academic calendar will be shared with the participants well in advance. Every student has to secure a minimum of 70% attendance in all the subjects taken individually in each semester to be eligible for appearing in the end-term examination. NOTE In case a participant does not attend a particular class, the class recording shall be available for viewing. To be eligible for attendance for that
class, class reflection question(s) will have to be answered. However, this option will be available in exceptional cases with the prior permission of the Program Director/Coordinator.
