18th Pro Bono Enviro National Moot Court Competition, 2024 by Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University | 19th October 2024

About the Event

The Moot Court Association of the School of Excellence in Law, Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University is pleased to host the 18th Pro Bono Enviro National Moot Court Competition, 2024 (Hybrid), the flagship event of the institution. The institution has always strived to promote the interests of the student community and in addressing pressing issues, and has successfully conducted the previous 17 editions with overwhelming participation from across the country. 

This competition has been conceived to create awareness of the protection and conservation of our environment, inculcate interest in Environmental Law and understand the various ecological issues that currently plague our society.

Mode of the Competition

The competition will be conducted in a Hybrid Mode. 

The Competition shall consist of the following rounds: 

Preliminary Rounds (Online); and 

Advanced Rounds consisting of: 

a) Octa-finals (Online; if the total number of teams exceeds 48) 

b) Quarter-finals (Online)

c) Semi-finals (Offline)

d) Finals (Offline)

Registration & Key Dates

The Registration Formalities shall be done in two steps: 

Provisional Registration of the participating institutions shall be sent to [email protected]. An acknowledgement email will be sent by the organising team.

Teams are then required to complete the registration on or before 22.09.2024, 11:59 PM IST by filling out the registration form in the link https://forms.gle/WSseroA7pszpLhnE8.

Registration Fee

All teams wishing to participate in the Competition shall be required to pay a registration fee of Rs. 2,000 (Rupees Two Thousand Only). The Registration fee payable for the Competition must be paid latest by 22.09.2024 11:59 PM IST.

Awards

1. Winner of the Competition – Trophy, certificate and cash prize of Rs.40,000/-
2. Runner-up of the Competition – Trophy, certificate and cash prize of Rs. 30,000/-
3. Best Memorandum – Trophy, certificate and cash prize of Rs. 10,000/-
4. Best Researcher – Trophy, certificate and cash prize of Rs. 10,000/-
5. Best Speaker – Trophy, certificate and cash prize of Rs. 10,000/-
6. 2nd Runner-up of the Competition – Trophy and certificate
7. 2nd Best Memorandum – Trophy and Certificate
8. 2nd Best Speaker – Trophy and Certificate
9. 2nd Best Researcher – Trophy and Certificate
10. Best Speaker – Finals – Trophy and Certificate
11. Spirit of the Competition Award – Trophy and Certificate

All participants of the Competition will be given Participation E-certificates. The certificates will be emailed to the participants after the completion of the competition.
