Job Profile and Duration of Engagement
The initial appointment for the Young Professional [Legal Affairs] will be for a period of six months. This duration may be extended based on satisfactory performance and organizational requirements, up to a maximum of two years.
The role is situated within the Legal Affairs wing of the CLA division, which handles Policy and Scheme related matters, National-International Agreements, Legal Due Diligence, and Litigation.
Key Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for assisting the legal team with various drafting, vetting, and monitoring tasks.
Primary Duties:
- Drafting and Vetting: Assist in drafting and reviewing MoUs, Grant Letters (GLA), Agreements, NDAs, and other legal instruments.
- Due Diligence: Support legal due diligence of applicant entities under various BIRAC schemes and prepare diligence summaries.
- Litigation Support: Assist in monitoring court cases, collating documents, and preparing case briefs.
- Compliance and Risk: Provide assistance in monitoring contract compliance and identifying potential legal/contractual risks.
- Research and Records: Prepare legal opinions, internal notes, and reports. Manage legal records, files, and databases.
- Policy Work: Support the updating and drafting of guidelines, formats, and policy amendments.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following educational and experience requirements to apply for this vacancy.
1. Essential Educational Qualification
- Candidates must possess an LLB degree from a recognized institution.
- The degree must be a Full-time Degree.
2. Work Experience
- Candidates must have 1–2 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- Experience should be in a Private organization (LLP/Company), Government Department, or a Legal Firm.
3. Desirable Skills
- Additional Qualifications: LLM Degree or Diploma in Drafting or Corporate laws.
- Technical Skills: Good knowledge of contract drafting, grant letter agreements, and legal provisions. Proficiency in MS Office and digital record maintenance is required.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
Age Limit and Salary Details
- Age Limit: The upper age limit for this post is 30 years as of the closing date of the application.
- Remuneration: The selected candidate will receive consolidated emoluments between Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 50,000/- per month, depending upon qualifications and experience.
