The appointed Management Trainees will undergo On-the-job training for a period of one year. Upon successful completion of this training, they will be placed in the ‘E-1’ scale of pay as an ‘Assistant Manager’. Candidates must be willing to serve anywhere in India, as posting may occur in any of the company’s offices or Joint Ventures across the nation.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Management Trainee (LAW) position, candidates must meet specific minimum qualifications and age criteria established by MSTC Limited.
Essential Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Degree or Post Graduation Degree in Law with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized University or Institute.

Remuneration
The position of Management Trainee (LAW) falls under the E-1 grade pay scale.
Remuneration Package:
The pay scale for the E-1 level is Rs. 50,000 – 3% – 1,60,000. The Cost to Company (C.T.C) is approximately 14.50 lacs per annum. Besides the Basic Pay, candidates are also entitled to Dearness Allowance, HRA, perquisites and allowances under the cafeteria approach, and other applicable allowances.
Service Bond Requirement:
Selected candidates must execute a Bond for Rs. 1,00,000/- in favor of MSTC Ltd. This bond requires the candidate to serve the Company for a minimum period of 5 years.
Selection Procedure
The selection process involves multiple stages, designed to assess the candidate’s aptitude and professional knowledge.
Stages of Selection:
- Computer Based Test (CBT): Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria will be called for the CBT.
- Group Discussion (GD): Candidates attaining the Qualifying marks in the CBT/Written Test (WT) + Group Discussion, in order of merit, will be shortlisted for the Interview.
- Interview: Shortlisting for the Interview stage will be done in the ratio of 1:5.
Qualifying Criteria:
The minimum Qualifying marks in the CBT/WT + Group Discussion are 40 percentile, with a relaxation to 35 percentile for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
Final Selection:
The final selection is based on the consolidated merit of weighted marks obtained in the All India-based CBT, Group Discussion, and Interview.
The CBT structure includes two parts:
- Part A (60 minutes): English Language (15 questions, 15 marks), Quantitative Aptitude (20 questions, 20 marks), Reasoning Ability (20 questions, 20 marks), and General Knowledge (15 questions, 15 marks).
- Part B (60 minutes): Professional Knowledge (50 questions, 50 marks).
The total duration of the test is 120 minutes, comprising 120 questions for 120 marks. A penalty of 1/4th of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted for every wrong answer.
