Essential Eligibility Criteria for Legal Consultant
To be considered for this prestigious role, candidates must meet specific qualifications and experience requirements:
- Educational Qualification: Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized university.
- Post-Qualification Experience: A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience is mandatory.
- Age Limit: Candidates should not be more than 64 years of age as on the last date for receipt of application.
Experience & Desirable Skills Required
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are highly preferred.
- Government Experience: Candidates with 1-5 years of experience working with central or state government are preferred.
- Legal Case Handling: Experience in handling various types of legal cases, including court cases, arbitration cases, and those related to recruitment, establishment, contractual, or education matters at the High Court and Supreme Court level, is desirable.
- Legal Acumen: Experience in the examination and analysis of law and statutes, along with sound knowledge of Government administrative regulations, legal procedures, and arbitration matters, will be given preference.

- Application Submission: Interested and eligible applicants must submit their particulars strictly in the enclosed format (Annexure – II). This application form must be accompanied by a CV and all relevant documents supporting the claims made.

- Application Deadline: The last date for applications to be received by the Ministry is 07 July, 2025. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
The Ministry of Ayush reserves the right to accept or reject any application without providing a reason.
Work Location & Tenure
The selected Legal Consultant will be engaged on a contract basis.
- Period of Engagement: Initially, the engagement will be for a period up to 31.03.2026. This tenure may be further extended, subject to functional requirements and a satisfactory appraisal of performance.
- Place of Work: The duties will be performed at the Offices of the Ministry of Ayush. The specific locations include:
