About Independent Thought
Independent Thought is a national human rights organization working towards equality, justice, and mutual respect. They work on human rights and law through direct intervention, advocacy, and judicial actions, and provide technical and hand-holding support to non-government, government, multilateral-funding, policy research, and grassroots organizations in several states of India. Over the years, they have gained varied experience in the areas of law and development, rights of children, women, and marginalized communities, governance intervention (ULB, PRI, and scheduled areas) and conflict zones, social and legal studies, action research, development of legal manuals and IEC materials, imparting training, participatory and rights-based approach, strategic planning, monitoring, and evaluations. They have experience spanning urban, rural, scheduled (tribal), and conflict areas across India.
About The Internship
Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Online Research related to Human Rights/Child Rights
- Manage fieldwork and awareness workshops
- Report writing
Only Those Candidates Can Apply Who
- are available for full time (in-office) internship
- can start the internship between 30th Aug’21 and 4th Oct’21
- are available for duration of 4 weeks
- have relevant skills and interests
- Flexible work hours
- 5 days a week
