Vacancy Details
The recruitment is for Law Officers in the Specialist Officer (SPL) stream. This post falls under the Middle Management Grade Scale-II (MMGS-II).
There is a total of 2 vacancies available for Law Officers. The breakdown of these vacancies by category is as follows:

Essential Eligibility Criteria
All candidates applying for the Law Officer post must ensure they meet the minimum eligibility criteria specified by the Bank.
Age Limit (as on 01.10.2025):
The age requirements for Law Officers (Scale II) are set as follows:
- Minimum Age: 25 years
- Maximum Age: 32 years
Relaxation of Upper Age Limit:
Candidates belonging to specific reserved categories may be eligible for age relaxation on the upper age limit:
- Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe: 5 years
- Other Backward Classes (Non-creamy layer): 3 years
- Persons With Benchmark Disabilities: 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 5 years
- Persons affected by 1984 riots: 5 years
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
Candidates must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria specified by the Bank. Details regarding the required educational qualifications, work experience, etc., are referred to in ANNEXURE – I to the Notice dated 01.10.2025. Candidates must have declared their result for the educational qualifications on or before 01.10.2025.
Remuneration
Law Officers are placed in Middle Management Grade Scale-II (MMGS-II). The basic pay for this scale is detailed below, along with other allowances and perquisites as applicable:

Security Deposit:
Selected candidates who join as Officers in MMGS-II will be required to deposit a security amount of ₹2,00,000/-. This amount is refundable after 3 years of satisfactory service but will be forfeited if the candidate leaves the Bank before completing 3 years of service.
Selection Process
The selection process involves an online test and/or personal interview, depending on the number of eligible candidates/applicants.
Online Examination Structure:
If an online test is conducted, it will consist of the following components:
- English Language: 25 maximum marks (Qualifying nature; marks not added to the merit list).
- Professional Knowledge relevant to the post: 100 maximum marks.
The test duration will be a Composite Time of 100 Minutes. The minimum qualifying marks in the Professional Knowledge test are 35% for General/EWS candidates. SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates applying for reserved vacancies are entitled to a relaxation of 5% marks in relation to the qualifying marks stipulated for General/EWS candidates. There is a penalty for wrong answers, where one fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.
Personal Interview:
Candidates securing the minimum qualifying marks in the Online Tests and ranking sufficiently high in the order of merit will be called for a Personal Interview. The ratio for calling candidates for the interview is generally 1:3 to the number of vacancies, though the Bank may increase this ratio.
The total marks allotted for the Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks for the interview are 50% for General/EWS category candidates and 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.
Final Selection:
If both the Online Examination and Interview are conducted, the weightage (ratio) will be 80:20 for the Online Examination and Interview, respectively. Final selection is based on the combined final scores, and the candidate must be found suitable in both the Online Examination and the interview.
