About the One-Day Collaborative Seminar
The Seminar is scheduled to be organized under the aegis of the Chair on Urban Poor and the Law, Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation (HUPA), which has established the Chair on Urban Poor and the Law at National Law School of India University, Bengaluru in 2012. Envisioned to engage the stakeholder intervention in matters of law, policy, capacity building and enhancement, dissemination of legal knowledge and its application, and serve as a catalyst in enabling solutions to problems of the subaltern in the urban milieu and explore for solutions through law.
The Chair on Urban Poor and the Law was instituted by a Memorandum of Understanding between HUPA and NLSIU for carrying out training and to introduce a Course on Urban Poor and the Law in select law Schools and colleges across the country. Participation is invited from members of Industry, Academia, Regulators, Public Policy, Social Sciences, and Non-Governmental Organizations.
