Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university.
- Preference will be given to candidates holding an LL.M. degree.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in retrieving information from legal research platforms such as SCC Online and Manupatra.
- Age Limit:
- Minimum: 23 years
- Maximum: 35 years (as of the last date of application).
Selection Process
- Interview/Interaction:
- Conducted by the Hon’ble Chairperson or a designated Committee.
- If the number of applicants is large, a written test may also be conducted.
Duties and Responsibilities
Selected Law Researchers will assist the Hon’ble Chairperson or Members of the Tribunal with:
- Attending court hearings and noting significant legal points.
- Conducting legal research to support judicial decision-making.
- Drafting and assisting in judicial/legal work as assigned.
Terms of Engagement
- Duration:
- Initial contract of 1 year, extendable up to 4 years based on performance.
- Key Conditions:
- Full-time engagement is required, including work during odd hours and holidays.
- Practicing as an Advocate during the tenure is strictly prohibited.
- Formal dress code (as per Bar Council of India Rules) must be followed.
- Termination:
- The Tribunal reserves the right to terminate the engagement without notice.
