Eligibility Criteria

  1. Educational Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university.
    • Preference will be given to candidates holding an LL.M. degree.
  2. Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in retrieving information from legal research platforms such as SCC Online and Manupatra.
  3. Age Limit:
    • Minimum: 23 years
    • Maximum: 35 years (as of the last date of application).

Selection Process

  1. Interview/Interaction:
    • Conducted by the Hon’ble Chairperson or a designated Committee.
    • If the number of applicants is large, a written test may also be conducted.

Duties and Responsibilities

Selected Law Researchers will assist the Hon’ble Chairperson or Members of the Tribunal with:

  1. Attending court hearings and noting significant legal points.
  2. Conducting legal research to support judicial decision-making.
  3. Drafting and assisting in judicial/legal work as assigned.

Terms of Engagement

  1. Duration:
    • Initial contract of 1 year, extendable up to 4 years based on performance.
  2. Key Conditions:
    • Full-time engagement is required, including work during odd hours and holidays.
    • Practicing as an Advocate during the tenure is strictly prohibited.
    • Formal dress code (as per Bar Council of India Rules) must be followed.
  3. Termination:
    • The Tribunal reserves the right to terminate the engagement without notice.
