International Webinar on the Synergistic Chemistry Intersection of Intellectual Property and Energy Innovation by Department of Studies in Law, University of Mysore: Register Now!

Prefatory Note

Intellectual Property (IP) law presents unique challenges and opportunities in the energy sector, with domestic legal systems varying across countries like India, the USA, and Germany. IP incentivizes the development of groundbreaking technologies like renewable energy systems and water purifiers, which can be commercialized, attract investment, and provide practical solutions to the global sustainability agenda. The relationship between IP and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is particularly significant in the context of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks. IP protection encourages innovations aligning with circular economy principles, helping to achieve various SDG targets. This webinar will explore how IP intersects with information technology and facilitates the development of innovations in renewable energy and sustainable agriculture sectors. Understanding the challenges and opportunities presented by IP in the energy sector can foster effective collaborations, enhance global access to sustainable technologies, and contribute meaningfully to achieving SDGs.
