Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualifications:
- Graduate in Law (LL.B.) with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university.
- Desirable: Post-graduate degree in Law (LL.M.).
- Experience:
- Experience in handling criminal matters or working with legal service institutions.
- Skills Required:
- Proficiency in using legal research platforms like SCC Online, Manupatra, etc.
- Strong analytical skills and expertise in drafting and legal documentation.
- Age Limit:
- Not more than 50 years as of 15th January 2025.
Job Responsibilities
The selected Consultant (Legal) will:
- Liaise with the Department of Justice, State Legal Services Authorities (SLSAs), District Legal Services Authorities (DLSAs), and other stakeholders.
- Handle litigation-related activities, including updates on the Legal Aid Counsel Management System (LACMS) portal.
- Draft reports and provide inputs on legal frameworks, policies, and compliance.
- Assist with the Output-Outcome Monitoring Framework (OOMF) and its implementation.
- Reply to parliamentary questions and assist in the preparation of speeches, presentations, and other documentation.
- Monitor and evaluate the LADCS scheme’s progress.
