Job Responsibilities
The selected candidates will undertake the following key responsibilities:
Legal Advisory and Documentation
- Drafting legal opinions and reviewing security documentation, including mortgages and property-related matters.
- Preparation of demand and sale notices under the SARFAESI Act.
Litigation and Recovery
- Handling DRT, NCLT, and IBC matters.
- Liaising with advocates for cases related to recoveries and security enforcement.
- Assisting with criminal complaints under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.
Policy and Compliance
- Advising on policy-related issues and legal implications.
- Ensuring compliance with banking and financial laws.
Other Duties
- Managing CoC meetings under IBC.
- Providing legal support for MSME credit delivery and recovery.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Manager (Grade B – Legal Stream) role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Educational Qualification:
- Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates).
- Desirable: Master’s Degree in Law or Company Secretary qualification.
Professional Requirements:
- Must be enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of India.
- Proficiency in computer applications is preferred.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Law Officer in any of the following:
- RBI, SEBI, All-India Financial Institutions, Scheduled Commercial Banks, CPSEs, or NBFCs.
- Experience in recovery, drafting pleadings, and working on property/revenue matters is desirable.
Age Limit:
- Maximum Age: 33 years as of 8th November 2024 (relaxations apply for reserved categories).
Selection Process
The selection process involves the following stages:
Phase I – Screening Exam
- Objective test on reasoning, English, general awareness, MSME policies, and legal knowledge.
Phase II – Main Exam
- Paper I: English Language (Descriptive)
- Paper II: Legal Knowledge (Objective and Descriptive).
Interview
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview, which will also consider extracurricular achievements.
